Is depression a sin in christianity?

Not directly but indirectly it is. Depression can have many faces, you might be facing it; lack of self-care, medical medication, conflict, death or loss of someone, abuse, genes, and so on.

If in all these cases, if you’re not able to believe in God then this is a Sin.

It shows you find God incompetent to solve your issue. But remember there is nothing which God can’t do under this heaven and earth.

Trust in him! Just cast all your problems on him, and he will take care of it.

How to overcome depression?

The answer is psalm 34:17-18, the verse says, “when the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.  The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Don’t try to handle everything yourself. Our God is there to handle all of your mental issues, believe me, our God never fails to amaze us. You just have to submit yourself into his hands and rely on him, read words, pray, relax, and repeat.

Does God hear our cry?

Yes he does, he is near to a brokenhearted person, he listens carefully to the prayer of a destitute one.

Yes, there is no doubt, he blesses everyone, even those who don’t know him, then why God won’t listen to you, when you know him by his grace, just pray and read his word, God will definitely make his way for your life definitely.
